Human Community envolvement with the Wikipedia:Internet has been a nip-and-tuck, seat-of-the-pants, cloak-and-dagger routine for most of us. Wikians understand that the server spaces have to be paid for with real money. WikiaPerl is a way to make that money go further, but that's not all.
Our pseudousers (led by User:Sunday are generally anonymous humans running scripts to and from the user namespace. This is naturally a suspicious practice, but is nothing new. All sorts of scripts have user pages at Wikipedia. See Wikipedia:Bot and Wikipedia:Scriptfor a few examples What is required is a system of trust metrics and vigilence from both users and bots.
